The 10 American States That Might Actually Survive an Alien Invasion

As the U.S. Government releases classified documents and evidence on Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs), we’ve never been closer to the answer about the existence of other life forms. Even so, it’s unclear whether aliens are friends or foes. The entertainment industry has capitalized on the fear of an invasion. While many questions and uncertainties remain about the aliens, preparing for the worst—an invasion—isn’t such a bad idea. Here are 10 U.S. states where you are more likely to survive an alien invasion.

Virginia

Virginia might be the most likely state to survive an alien invasion. It has the highest military presence in the country, with 17 service members for every 1,000 residents. In addition to military defense, the state’s geography serves as another defense. Dense forests and abundant caves will provide residents with plenty of hiding places. The high presence of engineers, scientists, healthcare professionals, and food and beverage companies provides ample resources.

Alabama

Another state where you’d likely survive an alien invasion is Alabama. Its diverse landscape with mountains, foothills, valleys, and caves can provide protection. Another strength is the state’s high police presence and good water supply. Is the Earth’s demise imminent? Take cover in Alabama and increase your chances of survival during an alien attack.

Massachusetts

If you live in Massachusetts, your chance of survival is higher than in other states. The dense urban areas might pose a significant challenge for alien invaders. The large presence of law enforcement and military personnel may also protect you. The state is home to two of the leading colleges in science and technology—Harvard and MIT. It also has world-renowned healthcare facilities to heal the wounded.

New York

While New York City and its dense population might pose a giant challenge for invaders, the state’s best asset is its food and beverage resources. Other states may run out of food, but New York will likely stay stocked for extended periods. The National Guard, other military forces, law enforcement, and natural defenses such as forests and caves give you a greater chance of survival against an alien invasion.

Minnesota

Those who live in Minnesota may have a better chance of surviving an alien attack. Its many scientists, engineers, and medical professionals could make it a hub for resistance. In addition, its natural resources, such as vast forests, lakes, and prairie areas, can provide cover and provisions. Although your immediate survival will depend on your survival skills, Minnesota will give you an advantage other states may lack.

Florida

Florida’s numerous military bases increase your chances of surviving an alien invasion. Military forces will provide significant defense. It is home to Eglin Air Force Base and MacDill Air Force Base. The state’s landscape, including the Everglades and coasts, includes plenty of escape options. Florida may be a state you’d want to be in in the event of an alien invasion.

Wisconsin

A neighbor to Minnesota, Wisconsin is a state that could increase your chances of survival during an alien invasion. Its resources, specifically fresh water from the Great Lakes, make it valuable in the event of limited provisions. The state’s food and beverage manufacturing sector should also provide adequate supplies. There’s also a higher military presence and state-of-the-art healthcare infrastructure that could be advantageous.

North Carolina

During an alien invasion, North Carolina might be a state you’d want to travel to. Its state forests provide lots of cover and hiding places to evade attacks. Its agricultural output will also offer an above-average food source and resources. The military presence and law enforcement will provide good defense.

Alaska

Alaska’s vast wilderness and high military presence make it a state that would most likely survive an extraterrestrial threat. The state hosts natural defenses such as forests and caves that can provide good hiding places. It also has about 31 military personnel per 1,000 residents, making it one of the highest per capita in the country. Alaskans may consider themselves relatively safe in the face of an alien threat.

Georgia

Georgia residents can sleep better knowing they are more equipped to handle an alien invasion than most states. The forested areas and caves provide several hiding places to duck into during an attack. Its advanced healthcare infrastructure and strong military presence will heal the wounded and protect its citizens. In addition, the state’s food and beverage manufacturers and scientific and technological capabilities will aid in their emergency.
